About Me
As of today, I am a Software Engineer working in the US. Apart from that, I’m so much more; read ahead to know more! Get a sneak peak into: My Timeline
Stuff I am doing:
Software Engineer working on Embedded Systems.
- 👨🎓Graduate Student at Purdue University; pursuing a master’s in Robotics & AI.
- Teaching and Research assistant at The Data Mine – Purdue: ML/AI models.
- 🎥 Documenting my Journey via Youtube videos, and hopefully, you can also take something out of those.
- ✍️I also write a free Monthly Newsletter which I send out every other Sunday which contains content on self-improvement, productivity and Tech.
- 📚 On a mission to read all the awesome books in this world and taking public notes on them.
- 🌳 Cultivating a Digital Garden, which is a public diary of ever-growing and updating notes. I use [[Obsidian]] for interlinking different concepts, to present information for associative thinking. Also, I consider note-taking a super-skill in the 21st century, and this digital garden is a repository of notes I take on various topics, interconnected to each other. A public version of my notes is hosted on Githu.
- 🎸I bash out some random guitar tunes + post some niche music recommendations on my IG.
- I also share my personal and professional journey/the things I do on a weekly basis via my newsletter and Twitter. DM/Connect for free suggestions from experiences I’ve had/things I’ve done.
Stuff I’ve done
- ➗ Cracked Mathematics Olympiad at age 14, which earned me some free stuff such as cool watches and phones. I have been in love with numbers since then.
- 🔭Visiting Museums and Science fairs with mom got me interested in General Science. For me, unfortunately: Physics > Biology, which makes me the only Engineer in a family of doctors.
- ⚙️Joined university and put a note in my wallet: “Be the best mechanical engineer you know”. Who would say I got lucky when I topped my batch in 4th semester?
- 🔬At university, I along with my friends did some rigorous research, after which we filed and were granted a patent for Designing a 3D -Printed Fluid Filter using Geometric Stacking (don’t even mind reading that title again if you’re not into science, that’s just there for the nerds), making us the only (& first ever) undergrads in the state to be granted a patent for inventing new technology. We even received an award from the President for achieving this feat.
- 💻 In my junior year, I founded a Technical Club where we helped students get more opportunities for practical experience to use their skills by organizing hackathons, workshops, and talks from various professionals from the industry
- 🚀 Travelled so far to the US to study Master’s in Mechanical Engineering
- 🤖 I started with Mechanical Engineering, filed patents, and studied design and manufacturing. But coding stole my heart. With no experience, I plunged into Robotics and AI; while others had experience from their bachelor’s, previous jobs, and projects, I had pure grit. Days blurred with coding marathons, but I landed a job during a recession. Now, I’m changing the world through tech.
